I am blessed to wear different hats to carry on as a strong, loving, and caring woman to my husband, kids, family, friends, and anyone whose path crisscrossed mine. Hi, my name is Mimi Theo A., and I was born and raised in Ethiopia; after finishing high school, I left home to build my future in America. Doing hair has always been my passion; even as a kid, I used to line up my dolls to fix their hair one by one, and ironically, doing hair ended up being the profession I chose to pursue.

I worked as a hairstylist and colorist in the DC area for 11 years, then became a curly hair specialist while living in the Dallas, TX, area. I then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where I started my businesses, The Dream Curls Salon and Curl Bliss Product Line. I became a successful entrepreneur because the curly hair business is in high demand, and it is a very lucrative business. Unfortunately, when Covid-19 hit, it made our lives take a different turn where I closed my businesses and moved to another state.

So, this is when I realized that instead of working behind the chair, it is time for me to sit on the chair and share my experiences with my fellow hairstylists.
